This six-session cross-department leadership session leveraged department utives and VPs as SMEs to break down silos, promote interdisciplinary collaboration, and align on the mission.

I worked closely with our SME, a trainer and coach, to develop a series of short explainer videos using Vyond where he explains Medicare and Medicaid concepts using easy-to-understand metaphors.

I developed a multi-session professional development series for the ID team to explore how "Gamification" drives engagement in learning. It involved multiple self-discovery analysis assignments, from analyzing games to commonly used apps and determining intrinsic and extrinsic motivators. As this was a professional development project within a team, we were able to have some stylistic fun.

One-pagers for SMEs who wanted to be more involved in the design process. One is guidance on writing effective stories to illustrate concepts. Another is a how-to on recording narration for courses.

Back in 2020, my remote team needed a way to organize images in the server. I suggested Picasa and my boss asked me to build a Rise course to  guide people through the installation.

The Illinois State Board of Education Early Choices team requested that I update a presentation with spanish audio and text translations. I also adjusted animations to follow the new narration.

(under construction) One thing I continually strive for when designing learning experience is that learning should be applicable. I developed a number of templates for branching scenarios that emulate customer interactions. Because of proprietary information and processes, the templates are the only thing included in this portfolio.

This online, blended learning onboarding project was awarded the 2023 Excellence in Practice by ATD and solidified the Instructional design team as a key resource in the company. The size of the initial project and development timeline required a team effort, and its success allowed for iterations as new lines of business opened. It reduced attrition of agents during onboarding from approximately 30% to 10% by taking a complicated topic and process and carefully scaffolding information and practice. Further iterations reduced onboarding time by 30% by utilizing AI simulated customers for telephonic roleplay, which were built with close support from Second Nature AI.

I developed a series of microlearning lessons called Bytes for use by NGOs and non-profits. Topics included interview tips, portfolio guidance, and personal health.

I led the end-to-end design of a training solution for Illinois Department of Human Services as they launched a new app to help providers code early childhood interventions. From discovery and stakeholder interviews through scenario design, build, and evaluation planning, I created interactive and mobile-ready practice tools with Storyline branching scenarios that improved provider engagement, accuracy, and adoption of the app.

I was interviewed on YouTube for Rumie Learn. We discussed how I entered the Instructional Design field and how incoming IDs can grow in their new career.

At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, I worked with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health to shift a number of their Early Childhood Provider ILTs to asynchronous elearnings.

This is a portfolio piece constructed in Storyline that utilizes storytelling and scenarios to guide managers through touchy scenarios that could cause legal liabilities. It features immediate feedback and many other adult learning theory concepts
